What does perception mean to you? 

That is what has been going through my mind for the past couple of weeks.  You ask why? Well, this was the theme for the Phoenix Design Week poster contest.  The 1 thing that kept going through my head was 'having a good perception on life'. Now how to design that, I thought? Haha!

I ended up coming up with my design concept the NIGHT BEFORE the contest due date. Talk about waiting till the last minute, right? I knew if I didn't sit down and finish right then and there I would have let myself down. So, I stayed up until the AM hours finishing the super awesome design. Seriously, who knew all of that type would have taken me so long? Haha!

I finally finished the design that morning, hit submit,  and jumped straight into bed. In the end I was so happy with my design and I was more than happy to be part of such a fun contest! I don't know if I'll be one of the chosen designs to be printed and displayed at the event but I feel like I won already. Just knowing I actually took part in the contest this year makes me feel like I can do anything I put my mind to.

I don't mean to toot my own horn or anything, but I think it's a really cool typography design. The meaning behind the whole thing means a lot too, so I hope you cast your vote or at least have a colorful and upbeat day when you see it. :)

Well Designed Back To The Future III Poster

I was browsing the good ol' internet tonight for some BTTF images for a Photoshop prank I'm working on and I ran across this beautifully designed Back To The Future III Poster. I give props to the designer, thanks for posting it!

Don't worry, I'll post my BTTF Photoshop prank when it's finished. I ain't "yella-bellied"! For now you'll have to feast your eyes on this "heavy" design.

HO HO HO!!! Christmas time is CLOSEEE!!!!

Even though Halloween and Thanksgiving have not passed yet... Doesn't mean you cannot start planning for your Christmas adventures now?! This is the time of year when everyone needs their Christmas cards done! I've done many in the past and I'm ready to do some more.  Lets beat the worry and stress this year - Lets get started now! Gather up all of those great family pictures and I'll get started on them for you! Perhaps this year we'll all sent out our cards before New Years - tehe (guilty as charged).

Halloween is less than a week away! I hope you all stay safe on the holidays and don't eat to much candy! Nobody likes you when you're on a sugar high.

Heather Kant designs a flier for Paradise Nails - Arroyo Grande/Anthem

I’d like to think I really NAIL'd this project! Ha ha! Yep, that was some awesome graphic artist humor.

This was another one of my projects from last week.  I really like how it came out - It’s professional and yet the red color gives it a little sass you would like to see in a salon flier! Those are some killer prices too! I should go get my nails done, I have the geek-nerd sheik nails on my hands.  No paint, really short, and maybe a hangnail here and there. I guess that’s what happens when you’re a full time computer art savy ninja like myself, no time for nails.  Looks like it's time for me to go see Debbie!  If your in the area you should really give Debbie a call too!

SpinalWorks Chiropractic Poster going out to 50+ Local North Phoenix Businesses. Designed by Heather Kant

Whooo!! I am ready to mark these awesome posters as DONE in my planner! Such a good turnout!  We did a total of 131 posters total with 50+ different local businesses.  It took a great deal of time to hunt down the logos and save each one out, but they are ready to be sent to the presses tomorrow!! I'm so happy that they turned out professional and sharp! Now it's up to Dr. Steve and his staff to hand these out. My hats off to them! :) I'm sure these posters will attract people in pain so he can get them feeling better.

Note: If you live in the North Phoenix/Dear Valley area - you should go get an adjustment!  He is one of the best chiropractors I've ever been to!  I was in a car accident with a lot of pain and I feel great now!  Not to mention they have an awesome website --- with coupons!
