Steve Jobs Resigns as CEO of Apple

If you're a fellow "Machead" like me, I bet you'll want to know the breaking news about Apple.

Steve Jobs, the co-founder and two-time CEO of Apple, offered his resignation to the board this Wednesday.

“I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know,” he wrote. “Unfortunately, that day has come.”

No matter how "magical" the Apple products are... it looks like they haven't mastered the feel healthy ap. Poor Jobs has been suffering from poor health for quite a while now. It looks like he already took a medical leave in January and came back in March to help out with the iPad 2 launch.

The torch of tasty Apple goodness has been passed off to Tim Cook, formerly the CEO of the company who has been standing in for Jobs since January. Mr. Cook also had Apple's back in 2004 when Jobs dealt with pancreatic cancer. I hope Tim can cook up some more "magic" for the world while we wait for Steve to feel better. The word on the street is that Steve Jobs isn't gone for good. The whole world will be rooting for you Steve!

Happy 35th Birthday Apple!

Can you believe it has been 35 fun filled years with awesome products from Apple Computer? I don't know about you but I feel pretty lucky to have known such wonderful products in my lifetime. As I mentioned in an earlier article, Apple was my very first personal computer. [My MAC vs PC Article]

I know it's a birthday today... but it feels more like thanksgiving for me... I'm very grateful for the two young guys (Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs) who worked diligently in their garage, back in good'ol 1976, making the first Apple computer (Apple I). Almost 200 of those Apple I computers were built before the news of their company traveled around like a hot potato.  Good news always travels fast!

If I had a DeLorean time machine I would travel back in time and become friends with these guys while they were young whipper snappers like myself. Haha, maybe that would be my "in" to working with Apple one day. It IS and has been a dream of mine for a very long time to work for Apple. As long as I know I've been a "machead".  You can read my entire computer history on how I became a MAC vs PC.

Apple, thank you again for being in our lives. Make a wish and blow out the candles!  I hope to see 35 more years of "magical" products!

Haha, I had to add this photo of a powerbook cake I found
It looks delish! Wonder if the disc is edible?

I guess the Apple iPad wasn't as innovative as we thought...

This weekend I was cleaning out my attic and I found this old dusty box in the back corner. I didn't remember putting it there, it must have been from the previous owners [Some guy named Steve Jobs?].  I thought it would be a good idea to open it and check, just to be sure. I found some photos, maps, and some archeological dig tools.

I ran across one WILD photo that I thought I would share with the world... Is it me, or does it look like the NEW Apple iPad that they are digging up?

No, seriously. Wow! Makes me wonder if our ancient ancestors were using Apple iPads back in the day.
